Final Rose

As most of you - my beloved blog readers - can attest I'm a HUGE fan of Jillian Harris from the Bachelorette/Bachelor. Just to prove myself, I've cited some posts from my yet award winning blog of passion, interest, and kate life.

• When she was on the Bachelor with Jason, I wrote her a note of encouragement. I also wrote a VERY telling "p.s." I might add.
• In March 2009, I exclaimed my excitement and thrill in upcoming Rose Ceremonies with the announcement of the year.
• I talked about her trade offs to find love on this post.
• When Jillian's season on the Bachelorette began, I started decorating for my Monday night gatherings!
• And for the most dramatic rose ceremony ever (I'll borrow a line from Chris), we had an all out blast, only complete with Mother asking us to vote on secret ballot, when Jillian and Ed became official.

Soooo imagine my excitement when I got wind of Jillian at a local hotel in Norman, America. You can't. You just can't imagine how excited I was to even think of finally meeting someone who I think is super fun, so cute, and a delight. Well, guess what?

I met her. Totally talked for an hour.

Jillian, my new best friend, was in town filming Extreme Makeover: Home Edition as a guest designer. There she was at the hotel bar hanging out with the cast. I couldn't miss my moment. With my heart pounding, I casually walked over and introduced myself as if we went to high school together. She was the nicest. She was fun and extremely personable. She had to go to this surprise birthday for the executive producer, and explained she'd be back to become our best friend.

In the mean time, we saw Xzibit. But, I didn't know who he was. He did compliment my boots and we all admired his big, peerrty watch. Who knew he was famous? I'm not all as good on the current rappers as I am the stars of ABC's reality (right) shows.

Jillian gave us the behind the scenes stories on soooo many topics. Yes, the producers assign roommates on the Bachelor. Yes, she kept those precious clothes from the Spain trip. Ed is auctioning off his famous green shorts at a charity event. Her ring is stunning. 100% stunning.

Honestly, she was so much fun. She laughed with us. She let us take pictures even with no make-up on. She also is teeny tiny. I mean maybe 95lbs. Wet. But, I still like her. Just will never take another picture with her. Well, maybe at the wedding. We did talk about her wedding. She is unsure if she is going to do it public or private. However, she thinks she has found her dress. Don't you know she will look beyond bride beautiful. We said good-bye. I gave her my card. You just never know. I never thought on Wednesday morning my day would include Jillian Harris. Such fun...and honestly I wish her and Ed the very best. Good job ABC.

We also met this designer from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. He was a bit over the top and wasn't that crazy about my beloved city and state. Hopefully he can get back to LA sooner than later. With all the rain and snow we've had, we can't help him keep up his tan.

Out of the stars we saw/met, my final rose still goes to Jill! We are on nickname level.
