Love the one you're with....

...and that I did this Valentine's Day 2010.
With Mother up from my birth state, this Single Awareness Day wasn't as depressing as originally thought. With a lazy day in store mixed with a morning snowfall (seriously I've never seen so much snow fall in a winter), topped with Lifetime's "Lovers Lane" movie line-up ... we enjoyed a lovely February 14. (no pun intended. honest.)
I did clean for the Queen's visit. What is it about someone coming that inspires us to do SO much? The Weymouth hadn't experienced a formal visitor in some time. Shocking.

It was Mother's first time to see the "new" rugs. Can you see the new one under the kitchen table? I found it on clearance at Tuesday Morning and it has the perfect colors. I just wish it was a tad bigger...and I was a bit smaller. Dreams.
Tulips. $5 a bundle bought at Wal-Mart on the 13th and looked great until the 19th...you can't get that out of flowers that are delivered to your door. Again, fresh flowers bring about a natural high for me.
We never left The Weymouth on Valentine's, so we never put our "faces" on. Everyone needs a day at home from time to time...where you order pizza, stay in doors, and live in your pjs.
I wanted a picture of Mother on Valentine's...so there's her sweet head and the tip top of her beloved Snuggie. She loves that zebra decorated "My Mother" embroidered fleece backwards robe. She doesn't leave home it.
Don't these Tulips look fake? They were that gorgeous.
In honor of this holiday that makes every single spirit wonder a million thoughts (we wont go there)...I'll leave you with a few of my beloved movie quotes that make me take a deep breath and trust in His plan, His timing, and His ways knowing my provision IS being prepared for his lifetime Valentine with the initials KBS.
I want the fairytale. Pretty Woman
There is the HOPE of someone. You’ve Got Mail
There is nothing better than you. Where the Heart Is
I want all of you, forever, you and me, every day. The Notebook

I got those exact same $5 walmart tulips on feb 13th! (and probably at the same walmart as you too) I actually STILL have them displayed in a vase. they are very droopy now, but still brilliant in color. :)

Kate, I am unusual in that I am not a big movie-goer or movie-watcher. My favorite movies, though, are romantic ones. I just had to comment that you mentioned my favorite movies, and I, too, love that quote from Where the Heart Is. I thought about that quote for weeks afterwards. Loved it sooo much!
