London - Day 2

Needless to say we fell into bed on Friday evening, and crawled out of bed Saturday morning. Little did we know, the latest morning we would have of the whole trip would be Saturday...which trust me was not late. As my Grandpa would say, "you can sleep when you are dead." That we will. The Today Show wasn't even in the second hour and we were off to experience a Saturday in London...a Saturday of markets that is.
First, we were off to Jubliee Market. Imagine vendors, classy vendors, lined up with amazing, organic tasty delights presented for your sampling and purchasing. If grocery shopping was even close to this magic, I would be a happier shopper. From Jubilee Market we headed to the famous Burrough Market.
The Burrough Market is made up of Cafes and Restaurants serving their sensational creations. For those from Oklahoma, consider it an upscale Arts Festival. After eating a little of this and a lot of that I walked back over to the Jubilee Market to fetch items for our Hyde Park picnic.
Here's what you do....Arrive at Jubilee Market.
First, you pick out your slice, square, block of cheese....
then you pick your olives...
...then pick your marmalade...
....pick out some bread...
...select more carbs...
all fresh and delightful. And, you go eat your fresh wonders in this church park....

Simply fabulous.
After we stuffed ourselves silly, we were off to a place I heart...
Notting Hill...yes, just like the movie. Would you believe we saw Hugh Grant?
We didn't. But it was just like the movie.
In the movie, Hugh Grant is shown walking along an outdoor shopping market through the seasons. This is it.
Hugh Grant walked Portobello Road as he shopped and his heart grew...just makes me want to go watch that classic romantic comedy.

A must do in Notting Hill is Hummingbird Bakery...and their red velvet cupcakes.
Kristen seconds away from her cupcake Hummingbird happiness....
Our friend, Max, and I enjoyed the best cupcake...just look at our smiles.

We did SO much shopping along Portobello Road...thank goodness for Blake's bag handling and patience...I needed my hands for picture taking and umbrella holding...the rain comes and goes in London like the wind in OK....there one second gone another.
From Notting Hill we were off to South Kensington...people, I belong in South Keningston.
Street vendors sell gorgeous flowers straight from Holland.
I would be a poor English madame with all these flowers in my constant gaze.
After picking up flowers and some spirits, we were off to Max's Muse House to enjoy our picnic. The weather was cold and rainy....no outdoor picnic for us.
The Muse House view....Muse Houses were the living quarters for the help.
Today, Muse Houses are remodeled and fit for a queen. No wonder I felt at home.
Blake and Kristen enjoying the warmth of a great fire...
....Max cooking up a storm for our picnic....
...and I took pictures to help make my visions forever memories.
...I took a lot of pictures
Dinner consisted of cheese, bread, apples, grapes, and wine....what else would you need?
Sweet Max.
Saturday was a true delight...from sun up to sun down.
In some ways, I didn't want to wake up on Sunday knowing our trip would be on it's way to half way over...little did I know the best was yet to come!
